Global futures and options trading reached 8.89 billion contracts in 2004, according to data gathered from 61 exchanges worldwide by the Futures Industry Association.

A Specialized Clearing Organization Is To Be Set Up Within The MICEX Group

On 24 March, the MICEX Exchange Council decided to set up an individual clearing organization – the Clearing House - within the MICEX Group. Following the recommendations of the Bank of Russia, the Clearing House will be set up as a closed-type joint-stock company.
