Tokyo Stock Exchange: TOPIX Futures Trading Volume For 2005 Sets Record High!

We are pleased to inform you that trading volume on TOPIX Futures contract (all contracts) set a yearly record-high, 12,785,962 contracts, 24.1% increase compared to the previous year. Trading volume on JGB futures is increasing rapidly.

SWX And virt-x: Provisional Year End Trading Statistics 2005

2005 was a record year for the SWX Swiss Exchange and virt-x in terms of turnover and the total number of transactions. The information regarding turnover and number of transactions reflects provisional readings because the data for the last trading day of the year (30.12.2005) were not yet available at the time of publication. Thus for technical reasons, the definitive annual figures for 2005 will compiled only next week.

SGX Strengthens EXCO With Appointment Of New CFO

Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Robert W. van Zwieten, age 43, as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Executive Vice President of Corporate Services Group with effect from 1 January 2006. Mr van Zwieten will also serve as a member of SGX’s Executive Committee.

NYSE Seat Sells For $3,575,000

A regular seat sold on the New York Stock Exchange today for $3,575,000; up $70,000 from the last regular seat sale sold on Dec. 29. This brings the total number of seat sales this year to 93, more than three times the 30 seats sold in 2004.
