The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has today issued a consultation paper on new Integrated Regulatory Reporting (IRR) requirements for firms. These will enable the FSA to use regulatory reporting to more effectively monitor and mitigate risks to the FSA's statutory objectives.

On the last trading day, trading for May contract is only settled by offsetting current positions by resale or repurchase based on this final settlement price. Sydney Futures Exchange: Half Basis Point Trading In 3 Year Treasury Bond Futures Contract And Removal Of “At-best” (F5) Functionality During June 2006 Roll Period

From 5.00pm on Thursday 8 June 2006 (Trade Date 9 June 2006) half basis point trading will be permitted in the 3 Year Treasury Bond Futures contract in the lead up to the June expiry. During this time half basis point trading will be permitted in the spot and next month 3 Year Bond Futures contracts as well through intra- and inter-commodity spreads and in permitted strategies in the Custom Market.

Standard & Poor's Canadian Index Operations announces the following index changes effective after the close of business on Friday, June 2, 2006: The shareholders of Zenon Environmental Inc. (TSX:ZEN) have accepted the cash offer from General Electric Co. (NYSE:GE). Zenon Environmental Inc. will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX Equity, Capped Equity and Equity SmallCap, the S&P/TSX SmallCap, and the S&P/TSX Capped Industrials Indices

Eurex, the world’s largest derivatives exchange, reported today that trading volumes in May increased 80 percent year-on-year (May 2005: 97 million contracts) to a new record of 174 million contracts. The previous record was 149 million contracts in March 2006. Average daily trading volume at Eurex also set a new record of 7.9 million contracts, with a new individual daily trading record of 11,937,481 contracts set on May 18.
