Trading On First North To Be Inaugurated By Minister For Local Government And Financial Markets Sven-Erik Österberg

On June 12, 2006, Sweden’s Minister for Local Government and Financial Markets, Sven-Erik Österberg, will inaugurate trading on OMX’s alternative marketplace in the Nordic region, the First North in Sweden. The first company to be listed on the new marketplace will be Swedol AB, a retail chain that sells electrical and electronic items, workwear, protective equipment, auto accessories and consumables primarily to the professional market.

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) has announced the trading and clearing arrangements for HKEx Futures and Option contracts open on Monday, 26 June 2006 to account for the change in HKEx's board lot from 2,000 shares to 500 shares with effect from 26 June 2006.

Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX) members met on June 6 to discuss plans for business development, new products, and trading derivatives via the Internet. TFEX also encouraged its brokers to be market makers, making the market more liquid. Also, TFEX and its members will hold investor promotional activities throughout 2006.
