Commission Announces SEC Roundtable On Regulation SHO Pilot

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it will host a roundtable on Sept. 15, 2006, at the Commission’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., to discuss the efficacy of rules that limit the execution prices of short sales, such as the Tick Test (Rule 10a-1 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934) and the Bid Test (NASD Rule 3350). CME: Auctions On CPI To Be Launched Wed June 14

The next CME Economic Derivatives product, trading via CME Auction Markets, will launch this Wednesday, June 14, 2006. (Apologies for the very short notice.) The underlying statistic for these auctions is the Consumer Price Index -- All Urban Consumers -- All items less food and energy. This is the "Core CPI" number as published monthly by the Bureau of Labor Statistics of the Department of Labor.

BM&F's Agricultural Markets Close The Month Of May With Increased Volume

The agricultural markets at BM&F closed the month of May 2006 with 90,707 traded contracts (futures, options, and ex-pit), representing a growth of 36% in comparison to the same period last year.
