First Set Of CESR Level 3 Guidelines And Recommendations On The Smooth Application Of MiFID: Market Data Consolidation & Record Keeping

In publishing its final recommendations & guidelines on Market Data Consolidation, and its final recommendations on Record Keeping, today's publication puts in place CESR's first pieces of definitive Level 3 work, aimed at ensuring supervisory convergence among Members in the day to day implementation of Directive 2004/39/CE (MiFID).
Tokyo Financial Exchange Rollover Of Leading Contract Month For Three-month Euroyen Futures - Effective From 8 February 2007

Tokyo Financial Exchange has decided to shift the leading contract month for Euroyen futures from the current March 2007 contracts to the June 2007 contracts, effective from 8 February 2007.
CFTC’s Division Of Clearing And Intermediary Oversight Provides Annual Report Guidance To Futures Commission Merchants

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Division of Clearing and Intermediary Oversight issued a letter providing guidance to registered futures commission merchants (FCMs). The letter is intended to assist FCMs, and their public accountants, in complying with the Commission’s regulations on the preparation and filing of annual audited financial reports.
NYMEX To Launch Catastrophe Risk Futures Contracts

New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:NMX), today announced that it will list three new financially settled catastrophe risk (CAT risk) index futures contracts for trading on the CME Globex® electronic trading platform and for clearing on NYMEX ClearPort®, beginning on March 4 for trade date March 5. On March 6, NYMEX will also launch CAT risk options contracts for trading on the NYMEX trading floor and for clearing on NYMEX ClearPort.
