Today, the New York Stock Exchange, a subsidiary of NYSE Euronext (NYSE: NYX), welcomed GulfMark Offshore, Inc. (NYSE: GLF ), a Houston, Texas-based provider of maritime transportation services to the energy industry, to join the NYSE after the company’s transfer from Nasdaq.

NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX) today announced that Bear Stearns (NYSE: BSC) issued their first Exchange Traded Note (ETN), the BearLinx Alerian MLP Select Index ETN on the NYSE, under the ticker symbol BSR. The BearLinx Alerian MLP Select Index ETN is based on the Alerian MLP Select Index whose components are publicly listed energy MLPs engaging in the exploration, marketing, mining, processing, production, storage or transportation of any mineral or natural resource.

Today leading Russian banks – operators of the currency market, the Bank of Russia, the MICEX and the National Clearing Center (NCC) have signed an agreement regulating the order and terms of purchase and sale of foreign currency on the MICEX with the use of centralized clearing (Trade Agreement). Thus, the MICEX Group is completing the transfer of clearing functions from the MICEX to the NCC, which is going to act as the central counterparty in transactions on the currency market.
