Monetary Authority Of Singapore Consults On Legislative Amendments To Implement Stablecoin Regulatory Framework

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) today published a consultation paper on proposed legislative amendments to the Payment Services Act 2019 (PS Act) to implement MAS’ regulatory framework for stablecoin in Singapore. The amendments will set out how stablecoin issuers may qualify to be MAS-regulated, and the safeguards they must meet to support value stability and user protection.

CFTC Further Extends Compliance Date For Amendments To Form PF

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today published a Joint Final Rule with the Securities and Exchange Commission further extending the compliance date for the amendments to Form PF that were adopted on February 8, 2024 (“Form PF Amendments”), from October 1, 2026, to July 1, 2027. Form PF is the confidential reporting form for certain SEC-registered investment advisers to private funds, including those that also are registered with the CFTC as a commodity pool operator (a “CPO”) or a commodity trading adviser (a “CTA”).

Statement On Extension of 2024 Form PF Amendments, Paul S. Atkins, SEC Chairman, Aug. 31, 2026

Today, the Commission voted to extend the compliance date to July 1, 2027, for the 2024 Form PF amendments, while we work to conclude our consideration of final amendments to that form. Following the last extension, the Commission proposed additional amendments to Form PF to tailor private fund reporting requirements while ensuring the continued collection of necessary and appropriate information. Commission staff have been carefully reviewing the comments submitted in response to the amendments, and they are making great progress. However, given the importance of this information collection effort and its technical nature, a short extension is practical and necessary.
