San Francisco Regional Office Director Helane Morrison To Leave SEC

Helane L. Morrison, the SEC's Regional Director in San Francisco, announced today that she will leave the Commission at the end of October. Ms. Morrison will become General Counsel, Chief Compliance Officer, and a Principal at Hall Capital Partners, LLC, a San Francisco advisory firm.

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) and the Investment Industry Association of Canada (IIAC) called on the G7 today to explore global regulatory structures in order to address the increasingly global nature of financial markets. Specifically, the associations believe that exemptions from local licensing requirements should be provided for global firms’ cross-border transactions with institutional investors.

(NYSE: ISE) announced today that it will issue its earnings release for the third quarter of 2007 before the market opens on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. Shortly after its earnings release, ISE will file its Form 10-Q. ISE will not host an earnings conference call or webcast.

Deutsche Börse has concluded its preparations for the implementation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID): it offers private and institutional investors best execution in around 245,000 securities and provides banks with a comprehensive range of services allowing them to meet the MiFID requirements.
