Shanghai Stock Exchange To Waive Annual Fees Of Listed Companies In Sichuan, Chongqing, Gansu, Shaanxi

Xtrakter: Asset Backed Securities (ABS) New Issuance Increases By 158%

Xtrakter, the fixed income market utility, released figures today highlighting an increase in asset backed securities (ABS) new issuance of 158% (USD 135 billion) in Q2 when compared to Q1 08. Overall fixed income new issuance increased by 80.1% (USD 452 billion) to a total USD 1.2 trillion for the same period. ABS accounted for 18.1% (USD 219.6 billion) of total fixed income new issuance in Q2 08.

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Monday, 7 July 2008, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contract will be as outlined in the table below. The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.

Bursa Malaysia: Trading On Equities Market Suspended For Morning Session

Trading on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad will be suspended for at least the morning trading session from 9:00am to 12:30pm following a multi hardware failure in our core trading system. The derivatives market will continue to trade as normal, however, there will not be any underlying KLCI feed for the FKLI and OKLI trading.
