Deutsche Börse has expanded its index offering further. The DAXglobal® Water Index is the first index launched by the company to track the world’s largest and most liquid companies from the water industry. Deutsche Börse has also launched seven new short indices, which investors can use as a hedge against falling prices in the emerging markets.

NZX Operating Metrics - March 2008

Highlights Total capital raised on NZX Markets year to date reached $811 million. There was $648 million in debt and $119 million in equity capital raised during the month. The number of NZX real time Data terminals was 10,990, an increase of 24% on the same period last year. Smartshares funds under management up 29% since March 2007, at $669 million. Smartshares has 15,157 unitholders, an increase of 1%.
