BME Markets Monthly Report - The Trading Volume On The Spanish Exchange Reaches €702.07bn To June - The Number Of Trades On The Spanish Exchange Increases By 8.20% In The First Six Months Of The Year

Trading volume on the Spanish exchange came in at €105.34bn in June, up 8% from May. Options and Futures contracts exceeded 11 million in June, up 83% from the same period a year earlier. Highlights include Futures on Stocks, with 7.4 million contracts, up 142%. Monthly trading in Corporate Debt reached €204.53bn, up 130% from the same month a year earlier. Trading volume on the ETF market came in at €4.39bn to June, up 150% from the same period in 2007.

Dow Jones Indexes Launches New Indexes For GCC Region

Dow Jones Indexes, a leading global index provider, today launched the Dow Jones GCC and the Dow Jones Islamic Market GCC indexes. The new indexes measure the performance of conventional and Shari’ah compliant stocks of five of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and United Arab Emirates. The five countries included in the index represent the investible universe of the GCC region and will be the first in a series of conventional and Shari’ah compliant

Deutsche Börse celebrated the 20-year anniversary of its leading index DAX® with leading representatives of the German economy and politics in the Main Trading Hall in Frankfurt on Tuesday. The DAX index tracks the 30 largest and best-performing German companies traded in Frankfurt. DAX is the most successful and best-known Deutsche Börse brand; following its launch on 1 July 1988, DAX quickly became Germany’s leading equity index.

On 30 June 2008, the WSE Management Board approved Copernicus Securities with its seat in Warsaw to operation on the WSE as an Exchange Member. It is the 47th Member of the Warsaw Stock Exchange overall and the 28th Exchange Member from Poland.
