    July 2008 set a record in trading of ETFs on Borsa Italiana and London Stock Exchange markets. The aggregated figures show that there were 140,452 trades, worth a record 8.8 billion Euros (£7.0 billion). This was an increase of 28 per cent in the total number of trades, and 152 per cent increase in the total value traded.
