Record Trading Volume On FORTS

On November 13th, 2008 the number of trades made on FORTS hit the record high. By the closure of the main trading session FORTS members made 201 390 trades in futures and options. The previous record was set on September 10th, 2008 with the number of trades reaching 172 300.

Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange Set PTA Futures Trading Volume Record Again

On Nov. 13, 2008, the trading volume in the Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA) futures contract on ZCE (Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange) peaked at 499434 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 494086 contracts set on Oct. 30, 2008.
CME Group To Launch New Central Appalachian Coal Options Contract On Clearport And New York Trading Floor

CME Group, the world's largest and most diverse derivatives exchange, today announced that it will launch a Central Appalachian coal options contract, on ClearPort(R) and the New York energy trading floor, beginning November 23 for trade date November 24.

SEC Completes 14th Annual International Institute For Securities Enforcement And Market Oversight

The Securities and Exchange Commission announced today that it has completed its 14th Annual International Institute for Securities Enforcement and Market Oversight. It was held from November 3 to November 7 at SEC headquarters in Washington, D.C. Along with an International Institute for Securities Market Development, which is held in the spring of each year, the Institute is the SEC's flagship training program.
