  • Bond Exchange Of South Africa Limited (BESA) – Q4/2008 Performance Update To December 2008

    The dislocation in global financial markets and conditions within the domestic economy during 2008, rendered the expansion of BESA’s primary bond market difficult during the year. Notwithstanding this, new bond listings on BESA reported annual growth of 5.6% on 2007, albeit the slowest growth rate recorded since 2002.

  • SGX Proposes Revisions To Derivatives Clearing Fund Structure

    Singapore Exchange Limited (“SGX”) is proposing to revise the Clearing Fund structure of SGX-Derivatives Clearing (SGX-DC) to plan for growing market exposure and reinforce the integrity of the Clearing System. With the significant increase in derivatives trading volumes and market volatility, the Exchange is of the view that the SGX-DC Clearing Fund structure should be re-modeled for scalability with market activity and risks. One such risk is SGX-DC’s exposure to the possibility of the failure

  • Tokyo Commodity Exchange Continues To Reduce Exchange Fee For January Through March, 2009

    Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM) announced that its Board of Directors has decided to keep a refund of JPY 0.5 per trade applied to the JPY 39 Exchange Fee for January through March 2009, following the same treatment from October through December 2008.
