BESA’s latest performance report for Q1/2009 shows primary bond market growth during the period being driven entirely by the issuance of paper by state owned enterprises (SOEs). HKEx and Shenzhen Stock Exchange Sign Closer Cooperation Agreement

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) and Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE) today (Wednesday) signed a Closer Cooperation Agreement which commits them to work together more closely towards the common goals of meeting the domestic and international fund-raising needs of Chinese enterprises and contributing to the greater development of China's economy.

Survey Shows Firm Support For Mandatory Professional Body Membership For Financial Services Practitioners - SII

An SII survey has shown a groundswell of opinion that it should be mandatory for financial services practitioners to belong to a professional body for the industry. In response to a poll on the Institute’s website, www.sii.org.uk, 89 per cent of respondents said they favoured the move, with only 11 per cent of people against such a measure.
