This year’s Global ETF Awards in New York saw Deutsche Börse receive awards in the following categories for the fifth consecutive time: “Exchange with the largest number of ETF listed products Europe”, “Most Proactive exchange for ETFs Europe” and “Largest exchange for ETFs Europe (by turnover)”. Deutsche Börse also received the award as “Most innovative ETF Index provider Europe” for the second time in a row.

NYSE Euronext Announces Trading Volumes For April 2009 - European Cash Daily Trading Volume Increased 15.5% To Highest Levels Since October 2008

NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced trading volumes for its global cash equities and derivatives exchanges for April 2009. For the month of April 2009, NYSE Euronext’s handled U.S. and matched European cash trading volumes increased 38.3% and 15.5%, respectively, and U.S. options volume increased 73.6%. European derivatives volumes increased to their highest levels since September 2008, driven in part by record Bclear OTC equity products trading activity.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange Inc. (TOCOM or “the Exchange”) announced today that TOCOM has gone live with a new trading system based on the suite of trading and clearing platforms provided by The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:NDAQ). The new system started accepting orders at 8:30 am and the day session started at 9:00 am on schedule.
