CalPERS Board President Establishes Risk Committee - Ad Hoc Committee To Address Enterprise Wide Systemic Risk

Rob Feckner, President of the CalPERS Board of Administration announced today the formation of a new ad hoc board committee to review and enhance the framework for system wide risk of the pension fund’s governance and operations, including its primary business of investments, health care and retirement.

NASDAQ Dubai Equities Trading Volumes Rise 62% In First Quarter 2009

NASDAQ Dubai today announced that its equities trading volumes increased to 1.04 billion in the first quarter of 2009, a rise of 62% from the first quarter of 2008 (640 million) and of 27% from the fourth quarter of 2008 (817 million).

Trading Activity On London Stock Exchange Group Up On Last Three Months

£156.9 billion (€168.5 billion) worth of equity trading was carried out across the equity order books of the London Stock Exchange Group during March. This was an increase of 32 per cent on the total value traded during February, and the highest total for a single month’s trading since October last year, though down by 38 per cent on the same month last year. The total number of trades also exceeded recent months, though at 23.4 million was down by 11 per cent on March 2008.
