Based on the close of trading on May 26, the global Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index, which measures the performance of 100 of the leading Shari’ah compliant stocks globally, gained 4.67% month-to-date, closing at 1739.68. In comparison, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 Index, which measures the 50 biggest companies worldwide, posted a gain of 6.13%, closing at 141.69.

Eurex Expands Product Range To Include Agricultural Derivatives Four New Agricultural Futures To Be Launched In July 2009

The international derivatives exchange Eurex is expanding its product range to include the agricultural products asset class. Trading will start in July 2009 with four new futures based on the agricultural products hogs, piglets and potato crops (London potatoes and European processing potatoes). NYSE Euronext Receives FSA Approval In Principle Of NYSE Liffe Clearing

NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced that NYSE Liffe, its international derivatives business, has received approval in principle from the Financial Services Authority (FSA) to launch NYSE Liffe Clearing, its central clearing counterparty for its London derivatives market, LIFFE Administration and Management. The Sanction Commission Of The SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd Has Fined Eastern Property Holdings Limited

The SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd has pronounced a fine of CHF 30,000 against Eastern Property Holdings Limited, which is domiciled in Tortola, British Virgin Islands. The company violated the provisions governing ad hoc publicity on the occasion of the publication of its 2008 semi-annual report. In addition, there have been a number of cases in which the company failed to fulfill its reporting requirements (i.e. the lack of notification regarding data that must be disclosed).

Due to the shortage of liquidities under the current adverse conditions surrounding the entire Japanese commodity futures marketplace, C-Com has regrettably come to a conclusion to suspend the trading of the Gas Oil futures contract in the Oil market under the provision of the Article 8-1 of Market Administrative Bylaws until the market conditions change to improve.
