The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced the appointment of Stephanie Allen as Director of Media Relations and Speechwriting, effective Oct. 1, 2023. Ms. Allen has served as Director of Speechwriting and Senior Adviser to the Chair since March 2023, and she replaces Aisha Johnson, who recently departed the agency.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today released a list of Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) performance evaluations that became public during the period of September 1, 2023, through September 30, 2023. The list contains only national banks, federal savings associations, and insured federal branches of foreign banks that have received ratings. The possible ratings are outstanding, satisfactory, needs to improve, and substantial noncompliance.

On September 28, ISDA responded to a request for comment from the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on the affiliations between derivatives clearing organizations (DCOs), designated contact markets or swap execution facilities and intermediaries such as futures commission merchants (FCMs) and other market participants. Today ACER publishes two Opinions on the European Commission’s draft regional list of proposed Projects of Common Interest (PCIs) and Projects of Mutual Interest (PMIs), addressing hydrogen and electricity infrastructure projects respectively. PCIs/PMIs are infrastructure projects which benefit from accelerated permitting procedures and funding as they are identified as key contributors to achieving the EU’s energy and climate objectives, as set by the European Green Deal.
