SEC Charges Two Longtime Madoff Employees With Fraud

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged a pair of longtime employees at Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BMIS) with playing key roles in the Madoff Ponzi scheme. One employee produced phony account statements for investors and feathered her own accounts for personal gain, while the other conspired to cash out Madoff's friends and family as the fraud collapsed in addition to creating phony account statements and tracking the Ponzi scheme bank account.

The Admissions Committee of the Mercado Alternativo Bursátil (MAB) has submitted to the Board of Directors a favourable report on ALTIA, stating that the company is eligible for admission to the market’s Growth Companies segment following a thorough review of all the information presented. The final approval of MAB’s Board of Directors is required before the shares can be admitted for trading.

Thai Listed Firms’ 9M/10 Net Profits Up 32% Over 9M/09

Companies listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) posted 9M /2010 net profits of THB436 billion (approx. USD14.52), an increase of 32.41% year-on-year (y-o-y), with total sales of THB5.37 trillion, a 18.30% rise y-o-y.
