In November a total of 24.5 million trades were carried out across the Group's electronic equity order books with a combined value of £187.2 billion (€219.6 billion), up 14 per cent on November 2009 (21.4 million trades).

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) announced today (Tuesday) three major initiatives to further improve its market data services. These initiatives will provide broader access to real-time market prices for the investing public, faster derivatives market data and a simpler licensing regime for information vendors. Fees of the new services are subject to the regulatory approval.

This was the conclusion reached by Quanvest GmbH in its assessment of investment recommendations as part of this year’s Fuchsbriefe tests. “71 percent of all portfolio recommendations for precious metal investments are for Xetra-Gold,” said Christian Libor, managing director of Quanvest.

November volumes increased marginally by 1% year-on-year but declined 9% on last month due to the Exchange being closed for several public holidays in November.
