Thai Listed Firms’ Total Net Profits Of THB150 Bln., Jump 30% In Q3/2010 Vis-À-Vis A Year Earlier

Firms listed on The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) recorded a combined net profits of THB150.65 billion (approx. USD4.85 billion), a 30.25% year-on-year (y-o-y) rise and a 17.60% quarter-on-quarter (q-o-q) rise, due partly to gains on foreign exchange rates and investment. FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the award-winning global index provider, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (“SET”) have announced that there is no change to the FTSE SET Large Cap Index following the semi-annual review concluded by the FTSE SET Advisory Committee today. Several other indices were also reviewed with 13 additions to the FTSE SET Shariah Index and 4 additions to the FTSE SET Mid-Cap Index.

Thai Bourse Revises SET50 And SET100 Index Constituents For H1/2011

The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) has selected eligible securities as the constituents of the SET50 and SET100 indices for H1/2011 (January 1- June 30). The review was based on market capitalization for Q3/2010 and trading data of eligible securities during December 1, 2009 to November 30, 2010, SET Group Head, Products Business & Development, Ms. Kesara Manchusree said.
