Chi-X Japan Announces May 2011 Trading Statistics

Chi-X Japan Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of alternative trading venue operator Chi-X Global Inc., today announced its trading results for May 2011. For the month, Chi-X Japan continued its steady growth, setting a new Average Daily Value/Volume record for the firm by averaging ¥21 billion in turnover and 33 million shares traded daily.

SGX Offers Trading Of Singapore Government Bonds

Singapore government bonds (SGS bonds) can be traded on Singapore Exchange (SGX) from 8 July 2011. This initiative is expected to improve price transparency and liquidity in SGS bonds, and provide investors with a safe investment alternative that can give both capital protection and steady returns.

Summary Of May 2011 Activities At Tokyo Commodity Exchange - Average Daily Volume Up 1.9% In May

Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) announced today that May 2011 trading volume averaged 123,363 contracts per day, up 1.9% from April 2011. The gold contract, TOCOM’s volume leader, was up 7.8% to 63,123 contracts per day. Gold mini volume was up 9.7% to 10,801 contracts per day while crude oil rose 13.2% to 5,302 contracts per day. Rubber volume fell 19.8% to 12,435 contracts per day and platinum was down 7.4% to 12,186 contracts per day.

CFTC To Hold Open Meeting to Consider Effective Dates of Provisions In The Dodd-Frank Act - May Also Consider And Vote On Dates And Times For Future Meetings

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. to consider effective dates of provisions in the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The Commission may also consider and vote on dates and times for future meetings. Agendas for each scheduled meeting will be made available to the public and posted on the Commission’s website at www.cftc.gov at least seven (7) days prior to the meeting

MGEX Reports Third Highest Daily Electronic Volume In History

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market and Derivatives Clearing Organization, today announced electronic trading of Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) futures and options was an estimated 18,322 or the third highest daily electronic trading total ever at the Exchange. Total HRSW futures and options volume was an estimated 18,932, making it the seventh best total exchange volume in MGEX history.

CFTC Charges Neal E. Hall Of North Carolina With Registration And Disclosure Violations - Hall Conducts Business Via His Trading System Website

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced the filing of a complaint against Neal E. Hall, of Reidsville, N.C., charging him with failure to register as a commodity trading advisor (CTA) and failure to include required cautionary statements on his trading system’s website, www.showmemyfuture.com. Hall has never been registered with the CFTC in any capacity.
