The Thailand Futures Exchange plc (TFEX), a subsidiary of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), announces the increase of margin rates on gold futures, SET50 futures, and interest rate futures, effective from October 7, 2011, due to increasing market volatility.

Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad's (BMD) total trading volume hit a new record of 6,228,632 contracts as of the close of mid-day trading on 28 September, surpassing the previous annual high of 6,202,686 contracts recorded for the whole of 2007. This is the highest ever number of contracts traded annually since 1980.
