Monetary Authority of Singapore: Consumer FAQs On MF Global

Following the move by MF Global Holdings Limited, the ultimate parent company of MF Global Singapore Pte Limited (MFGS), to file under Chapter 11 of the US Bankruptcy Code, other MF Global entities in the UK and Australia have also been placed into administration. The Board of Directors of MFGS has appointed provisional liquidators from KPMG on 1 November 2011 to oversee the winding down of the company. The provisional liquidation is intended to safeguard the interest of customers and achieve equitable treatment for all creditors.

The value of ASX-listed stocks, as measured by the All Ordinaries Index, rebounded sharply during October 2011 to rise7.1%, following a decline of 6.9% in September. This performance was in line with rises in other major markets including:the US up 10.8%, Hong Kong up 12.9%, the UK up 8.1%, Singapore up 6.8%, and Japan up 3.3%.

Today, Early Delivery of the November 2011 contract month for rice futures was concludedat Tokyo Grain Exchange Inc. as follows:

Early delivery was concluded through parties requesting Early Delivery in writing for the current delivery submitted on November 2. As there was more than one party desiring tomake delivery, the Exchange determined the party by drawing lots as stipulated in the Rules.
Tokyo Stock Exchange Has Established A Facebook Page To Disseminate Information - Launch Of "Tdex+ System" For Futures Trading On November 21, 2011

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) will migrate futures trading to Tdex+ System on November 21, 2011. In connection with the migration, TSE will implement functional and systematic improvements for the derivatives market, including the extension of trading hours and the introduction of a Market Maker Scheme for mini-futures trading. Additionally, TSE has established a Facebook page as below for the purpose of disseminating such information and promoting interactive communication with market users.
