In light of the economic environment in Europe and the recent market volatility, the Securities and Futures Commission and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) would like to remind investors holding uncollaterised structured products, such as derivative warrants and Callable Bull/Bear Contracts, that they should pay close attention to the financial strength and credit worthiness of structured product issuers.

According to the Silver Futures' executed prices decrease by 10% from the latest settlement price due to falling global commodities and silver prices, Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX) decides to suspend trading of all Silver Futures series for a certain period, from 15.05 hours of September 23, 2011 onwards.

IMF Launches New iPad App To Access Statistical Data

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) today released a new mobile application (app) allowing Apple iPad users to access a broad range of IMF statistical data. The free app, “IMF eLibrary,” is part of the Fund’s effort to make statistical data more accessible. This tool, which will soon be complemented by versions for other handheld devices (such as iPhone, iTouch, and Android), is integrated with social networking tools, enabling users to share data reports and comments with each other.

FIA Welcomes IMF’s Findings That Speculators Should Not Be Blamed for Commodity Price Volatility
