Thai Futures Exchange’s USD Futures Well-Received On 1st Trading Day

The Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group, revealed that trading volume of its USD Futures gained warm welcome from investors, reaching more than 3,400 contracts on the first trading day.

The Dow Jones Islamic Market Titans 100 Index finished May down 8.04%, according to data compiled by Dow Jones Indexes. The index measures the performance of 100 of the world’s leading Shari’ah-compliant stocks.

Trading On The Warsaw Stock Exchange: May 2012

• The total value of trading in shares on the Main Market reached PLN 14.9 billion (down by 36.7% year on year), the volume of trading in derivative instruments was 1.2 million (up by 6.3% year on year).¹⁾
• The incremental value of session trading in shares was PLN 81.7 billion year to date in 2012, as compared to PLN 105.5 billion in the same period of 2011.
• Cash transactions on Treasury BondSpot Poland in May nearly doubled year on year and reached PLN 39.1 billion.
• Spot transactions on the WSE electricity markets reached 9.3 TWh year to date, as compared to 9.1 TWh in 2011 (up by 2.6%), while trading in property rights increased by 21.3% in that period.

The Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) announced today that May 2012 trading volume averaged 104,196 contracts per day, up 12.7% from April 2012.

HKMEx Gold Trading Surpasses 10,000 Contracts - Milestone Symbolises Growing Market Acceptance

The Hong Kong Mercantile Exchange (HKMEx), China’s global marketplace, announces today that trading of its US-dollar gold futures surpassed 10,000 contracts for the first time on June 1. A total 10,389 gold contracts were traded on the day.

Thai Bourse Launches USD Futures

Kittiratt Na-Ranong, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, presided over the opening ceremony of USD Futures launched by Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX), under The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) group. He is welcomed by Sompol Kiatphaibool, TFEX’s Chairman, and Charamporn Jotikasthira, SET’s President, together with other SET executives and top executives from financial and capital markets. HKFE Announces Revised Margins For BOC Hong Kong And HKEx Futures

Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (HKFE), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx), has announced that with effect from the commencement of trading on Thursday, 7 June 2012, the minimum margins to be collected by an Exchange Participant from its clients in respect of their dealings in the following futures contracts will be as outlined in the table below.  The adjustments are based on the clearing company's normal procedures and standard margining methodology.
