The Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Open Market Committee on Thursday released the attached table and charts summarizing the economic projections and the target federal funds rate projections made by Federal Reserve Board members and Federal Reserve Bank presidents for the September 12-13 meeting of the Committee.

BM&FBOVESPA Registers New Trades Record For Stock Market

BM&FBOVESPA reached a record number of stock market trades yesterday (September 12). The BOVESPA segment (equities) totaled 1,202,421 trades. The previous record was 1,110,540, on July 27, 2012.

Federal Reserve Issues FOMC Statement

Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in August suggests that economic activity has continued to expand at a moderate pace in recent months. Growth in employment has been slow, and the unemployment rate remains elevated. Household spending has continued to advance, but growth in business fixed investment appears to have slowed. The housing sector has shown some further signs of improvement, albeit from a depressed level. Inflation has been subdued, although the prices of some key commodities have increased recently. Longer-term inflation expectations have remained stable.

Julie Ansidei appointed Deputy Head of the Analysis, Strategy and Risk Division.
Julie Ansidei, 39, holds a PhD in Economics and a Masters in Banking, Finance and Insurance from Paris Dauphine University. After writing a dissertation on competition between financial centres, Julie joined Arthur Andersen Belgium in early 2001 as a consultant on financial-sector strategy and organisation. In2005, amid the debate over MiFID implementing measures, she took charge of European and International Affairs at the French financial markets association, AMAFI. In 2007, she joined the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), where she took part in a far-reaching strategic review. On returning to Paris, she was recruited by the AMF in January 2010 to take charge of risk policy at the Regulatory Policy and International Affairs Directorate, which included playing a part in setting up the AMF's Risk Committee.

TMX Group Inc. Obtains Court Approval For Arrangement

TMX Group Inc. today announced that it has obtained a final order from the Ontario Superior Court of Justice approving the previously announced arrangement (the "Arrangement") under the Business Corporations Act (Ontario) involving TMX Group Inc. and TMX Group Limited (formerly Maple Group Acquisition Corporation).

SEC Charges Connecticut-Based Broker With Stealing Investor Funds To Pay Mortgage And Shopping Bills

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged a broker and his company based in Danbury, Conn., with stealing at least $600,000 from customers who he persuaded to withdraw money from their brokerage accounts he managed at other firms and instead invest with him directly.

CSOP Asset Management’s First RQFII ETF Tops Rankings From Day One: Initial And Second RQFII Quotas Totalling 7Bn RMB

FTSE Group (“FTSE”), the global index provider, is delighted to announce the CSOP FTSE China A50 RQFII ETF is now the largest RQFII ETF. The initial RQFII quota of 5Bn Renminbi (RMB) was allocated for IPO on 28 August and was fully taken up on the same day, establishing the CSOP FTSE China A50 RQFII ETF as the largest RQFII ETF, with Assets under Management (AUM) of US$m771.1[1] on the first day of trading. A further RMB2Bn was granted by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange (SAFE) for release on 12 September, and creation of the units of the fund was resumed immediately.

Following the suspension of trading of the shares of the companies «TT HELLENIC POSTBANK S.A.» and «AVENIR LEISURE & ENTERTAINMENT INFORMATICS SOCIETE ANONYME» and according to the Indices Series Ground Rules, the shares of the companies will be removed from all Indices.
