Exchange Council Supports Transparent Tender For Pan-European Intraday System - Members Raise Concerns Over Network Code Draft On Capacity Allocation And Congestion Management

The Exchange Council of the European Power Exchange EPEX SPOT supports the upcoming tender for the selection of the system providing the integrated pan-European Intraday solution. The tender is considered as an effective way to cope with the concerns raised at the last Exchange Council meeting held on 20 June 2012.

Charamporn Jotikasthira, President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), together with Dato’ Tajuddin Atan, CEO of Bursa Malaysia and Magnus Bocker, CEO of Singapore Exchange, joined the opening ceremony of ASEAN Trading Link in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which Malaysia and Singapore were the first two connected markets in the trading link from September 18, 2012, while SET will be the third exchange to connect the regional trading network in the middle of October.
Shanghai Stock Exchange Market Closure Schedule For 2012 Mid-Autumn Festival And National Day

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) hereby announces the market closure schedule for the Mid-autumn Festival and the National Day of 2012 according to the "SSE Holiday Schedule for 2012" (Shang Zheng Jiao Zi [2011] No. 52) as follows:

1. The SSE will close from September 30 (Sunday) to October 7 (Sunday) and open for trading from October 8 (Monday) onwards. It will also close on the weekend on September 29 (Saturday).

ECC Establishes Risk Committee

On Thursday last week, European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) held the first meeting of the newly established Risk Committee. By taking this step ECC prepares for the requirements put to clearing houses in the framework of the current clearing and financial market regulation (EMIR regulation, CPSS-IOSCO rules for financial infrastructures). The new committee, which will meet four times a year in the future, has the task of advising the ECC management with regard to questions of risk management.
