Japan Exchange Group & Borsa İstanbul Sign A Memorandum Of Understanding (MoU)

On January 10, 2013, İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası (İMKB) , which continues its existence as Borsa İstanbul following the new Capital Markets Law, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Japan Exchange Group, Inc. to facilitate cross-listing of ETFs and explore ways to further strengthen their cooperative relationship.

Clearstream’s December And Year 2012 Figures

In December 2012, the value of assets under custody held on behalf of customers increased by 3 percent to EUR 11.2 trillion (compared to EUR 10.9 trillion in December 2011). Securities held under custody in Clearstream’s international business remained unchanged at EUR 5.9 trillion in December 2012 compared to December 2011, while domestic German securities held under custody increased by 7 percent from EUR 5.0 trillion in December 2011 to EUR 5.3 trillion in December 2012.

Successful 2012 For Tradegate Exchange - Leading Trading Venue For Private Investors - Tradegate Exchange Continues Its Growth Path

5.7 million transactions were executed on Tradegate Exchange in 2012 (2011: 5.6 million) and the total turnover in all securities rose by ten percent to approximately €36.0 billion (2011: €32.7 billion). The turnover in equities reached a new high of €33.5 billion in 2012 (2011: €30.1 billion.), turnover in funds and ETPs was €1.7 billion (2011: 2.1 billion). The strongest increase in 2012 was seen in bonds: turnover here hit €736 million, up 58 percent on the previous year (2011: €467 million).

NYSE Euronext (NYX) today announced trading volumes for its global derivatives and cash equities exchanges for December 2012[1]. Global derivatives average daily volume (“ADV”) of 7.5 million contracts in December 2012 was down slightly compared to December 2011 and decreased 8.0% from November 2012 levels on seasonally slower trading activity. European derivatives fixed income ADV, however, increased 17.4% from December 2011 levels. Trading volumes in European and U.S. equities, declined both year-over-year and month-over-month.
