IntercontinentalExchange Group, Inc. (NYSE: ICE), the leading global network of exchanges and clearing houses, today announced a definitive agreement to acquire Singapore Mercantile Exchange (SMX) in an all-cash transaction.  The acquisition will add to ICE's current network of markets and clearing houses in the U.S., Canada, Brazil, the U.K. and continental Europe.

From 11 to 15 November, Shenzhen Component Index closed at 8305.9 points after gaining 1.8%. SME Index climbed 2.7% to 4918.3 points. ChiNext Index stood at 1269.1 points after rising 4.8%. Total turnover for stocks and funds on SZSE was US$ 70.1 billion, or a 1.7% increase from the week before. 13 out of 16 sector indices were higher than the previous week.

• Share volumes traded across Tape A, B, and C totaled 144.6 billion shares, an increase of 17.8% monthly, and an increase of 12.9%
• In October 2013, off-exchange trading accounted for 37.3% of the shares traded in NMS Equity Securities, a decrease of 0.4% compared to last month.
•  NYSE-listed securities share volume was 77 billion shares, an increase of 16.2% monthly, and an increase of 7.1% annually.
•  Share volume in NASDAQ-listed securities was 41.5 billion shares, a 22.9% monthly and a 18.1% annual increase.

Schneiderman announced his office has entered into multistate a settlement agreement with Google Inc. concerning its unauthorized placement of cookies on computers using Apple Safari Web browsers during 2011 and 2012. Of the $17 million in settlement money, New York will receive $899,580.

CBOE Short-Term VIX Index Values Now Disseminated Every 15 Seconds

Chicago Board Options Exchange, Incorporated® (CBOE®) today announced that it has expanded the frequency for disseminating values on its recently created CBOE Short-term Volatility Index^SM (VXST^SM index). VXST index values now are generally disseminated every 15 seconds during the trading day versus once a day previously, allowing traders to track intra-day volatility of the index.
