Dalian Commodity Exchange: One-Month Listing Of Egg Futures Shows Economic Functions - Egg Futures Show Satisfactory Performance In The First Month Of Listing

Since the egg contracts, China’s first fresh livestock futures product, were successfully listed on November 8, 2013, the egg futures have seen brisk trading in the first month with steady market operation, preliminarily showing the functions of price discovery and hedging against risks and presenting the market with a satisfactory performance.

Dalian Commodity Exchange: Brisk Two Boards On First Listing Day

On December 6, the fiberboard and the blockboard futures were officially listed and traded on Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) at the same time. On the first listing day, the two boards achieved a total transaction of 95,087 contracts (unilateral, the same below) and a turnover of RMB 4.64754 billion. Both the two products were brisk with the relatively consistent prices of spots and futures. As new products of a new field, the two boards presented a satisfactory performance on the market. -

The University of Helsinki announced last November an open position for a new professorship in Securities Market Law. The professorship is unique from a Nordic perspective as it combines the more traditional disciplines of company, finance, market, criminal and civil laws into a new independent discipline. The aim of this new role is to raise awareness of the Finnish, Nordic and European securities market legislation. The new professorship will also provide an opportunity to emphasize the Nordic approach in this field of law, including corporate governance issues.

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has fined Lloyds TSB Bank plc and Bank of Scotland plc, both part of Lloyds Banking Group (LBG), £28,038,844 for serious failings in their controls over sales incentive schemes. The failings affected branches of Lloyds TSB, Bank of Scotland and Halifax (which is part of Bank of Scotland).
