Shanghai Stock Exchange Makes All-round Amendments To “SSE Guidance For Real-time Supervision On Abnormal Trading Of Securities”

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) issues the “SSE Detailed Rules on Real-time Supervision on Abnormal Trading of Securities” (the “Detailed Rules” for short) on December 17. It is learnt that the “Detailed Rules” is regarded as the SSE’s all-round amendments to the “SSE Guidance for Real-time Supervision on Abnormal Trading of Securities” (the “Guidance” for short) released by it on May 14, 2008.

Notice Of Issuing “Shanghai Stock Exchange Detailed Rules On Real-time Supervision On Abnormal Trading Of Securities

The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has amended the “SSE Guidance for Real-time Supervision on Abnormal Trading of Securities”, and changed its name to the “SSE Detailed Rules on Real-time Supervision on Abnormal Trading of Securities” (the “Detailed Rules” for short), in order to meet the new requirements for daily regulation on securities trading in the new situation, prevent and prohibit illegal behaviors in securities trading, keep normal trading order for the market, and protect the legal rights and interests of investors. The SSE hereby releases the “Detailed Rules”, and all relevant parties are required to abide by the “Detailed Rules”.

Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission: Tiger Asia Admits Insider Dealing And Ordered To Pay Investors $45 Million

The Court of First Instance today ordered Tiger Asia Management LLC (Tiger Asia) and two of its senior officers, Mr Bill Sung Kook Hwang and Mr Raymond Park (collectively the Tiger Asia parties), to pay $45,266,610 to investors affected by their insider dealing involving two Hong Kong-listed banking stocks.

Markit Connects To Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s Trade Repository

Markit, a leading, global financial information services company, today announced that MarkitSERV, its global electronic trade processing service for over-the-counter derivatives, is reporting interest rates and FX derivative trades to the trade repository operated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. The service went live on December 10th 2013 allowing for compliance with Hong Kong’s interim reporting regime.

ESMA clarifies reporting of on-exchange derivatives under EMIR The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued today updated Question & Answers (Q&As) on the implementation of the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). These updated Q&As clarify, for example, how exchange-traded derivatives (ETDs) should be reported to trade repositories (TRs). From 12 February 2014, EMIR requires all EU counterparties to a derivative contract to report their trades to a TR, irrespective of whether these are traded on or off exchange. Reporting derivative contracts enables regulators to identify and analyse potential risks associated with derivative markets.
