First Opening Bell Ceremony At TASE New Headquarters - Minister Of Finance At The Ceremony: “If The State Of Israel Was A Stock, I Would Buy It Today Before The Price Rises.”

This morning (8/9/2014), the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) inaugurated its new headquarters at 2 Ahuzat Bayit Street with a festive opening bell ceremony. Minister of Finance, Yair Lapid, Chairman of the Knesset Finance Committee, MK Nissan Slomiansky, the Mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ron Huldai, the Commissioner of Capital Markets, Insurance and Savings, Dorit Salinger, Chairman of the Israel Securities Authority, Prof. Shmuel Hauser, the Vice-Supervisor of Banks, Dr. Nadine-Bodu Trachtenberg, TASE Chairman, Amnon Neubach and TASE CEO, Yossi Beinart, joined hands to sound the opening bell at the ceremony, which was attended by dozens of representatives from the financial community, heads of public companies, TASE members, investment house and bank executives, institutional investors and market players.
The Mexican Stock Exchange ("BMV") Joins The United Nations' Global Compact

The Mexican Stock Exchange ("BMV") announced its adhesion to the United Nations' Global Compact, with which not only will it continue with its sustainability efforts, but also will align its strategy with the ten universally accepted principles of the Global Compact. These principles include aspects such as Human Rights, Employment Standards, the Environment and Anti-corruption Policies. The intention is also to seek better access to the best practices and the learning platform offered by the Global Compact on these issues.

Eris Exchange Sets New Daily Volume Record And Open Interest High

Eris Exchange, a US-based futures exchange offering capital efficient swap futures, today announced that, on September 5, USD Interest Rate Swap Futures achieved a daily volume record of 21,014 contracts, representing more than $2.1 billion in notional value. The previous daily volume record was 13,252 contracts set on June 21, 2013.

LDRI will begin trading on NASDAQ on Wednesday, September 10, 2014.
KCG Announces Agreement To Sell Futures Commission Merchant Business To Wedbush Securities

(NYSE: KCG) today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell certain assets and liabilities related to the Futures Commission Merchant (KCG Futures) business to Wedbush Securities Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed by year end.
