Financial Industry Associations Submit Comments To US Regulators On Liquidity Coverage Ratio

The Clearing House Association L.L.C., the American Bankers Association (ABA), the Securities Industry & Financial Markets Association (SIFMA), the Financial Services Roundtable (FSR), the Institute of International Bankers (IIB), the Structured Finance Industry Group (SFIG), and the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers (collectively, the "Associations") yesterday evening (31 January) filed a comment letter with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve, and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation on the proposed rules regarding the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR).

Dubai Financial Market Accredits “Naeem Shares And Bonds” For Margin Trading

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) today announced that “Naeem Shares and Bonds” has been accredited to provide Margin Trading, lifting the total number of DFM brokerage firms providing this service to 12 companies. The exchange is currently processing similar applications from other brokerage firms in collaboration with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA).

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that Judge H. Russel Holland of the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona entered an Order of final judgment by default and permanent injunction against Defendant Thomas L. Hampton of Scottsdale, Arizona. The Order requires Hampton to pay a $1.5 million civil monetary penalty, imposes permanent trading and registration bans on him, and prohibits him from violating the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA), as charged. Hampton has never been registered with the CFTC.
