  • Singapore Fixed Income Indices (SFI) Weekly

    Below are key highlights for the week ending 6 June 2014:

    • The SFI lost 0.20% to 117.71.  The SFI is 0.88% shy of its all-time high.
    • YTD, the STI currently outperforms the SFI by 1.86%.
    • In the latest monthly rebalance, six debt issuances were added to the SFI, including a S$675 million issuance by the Housing & Development Board.
    • The SFI Corporate Bond Index continues to advance (YTD: +2.63%) despite a decline in the broader SFI. 
    • YTD and specific to corporate bonds, the SFI Corporate 10+ Year Bond Index currently outperforms the STI (4.76% vs. 4.17%).

  • ETFGI: Assets Of ETFs And ETPs Listed Globally Reached US$2.55 Trillion, A New Record High, At The End Of May 2014

    ETFs and ETPs listed globally gathered US$22.4 billion in net new assets in May which, when combined with a small positive market performance in the month, pushed assets in the global ETF/ETP industry to a new record high of US$2.55 trillion, according to preliminary data from ETFGI’s May 2014 Global ETF and ETP industry insights report. At the end of May the Global ETF/ETP industry had 5,283 ETFs/ETPs, with 10,293 listings, from 219 providers listed on 59 exchanges.

  • Euroclear Bank’s International ETF Structure Premiers On BATS Chi-X Europe - iShares ETF Lists Today As First International ETF On The Exchange

    Euroclear Bank, a world leading international central securities depository, in partnership with BATS Chi-X Europe (BATS), the continent’s largest stock exchange, announce the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) to be listed on BATS with an international securities structure. The iShares MSCI USA Dividend IQ UCITS ETF, which will be available to trade on BATS from today marks a further step forward in the two firms’ efforts to streamline ETF trade processing and settlement in the European market.

  • ETFGI: Assets Of ETFs And ETPs Listed In Europe Reached US$459 Billion, A New Record High, At The End Of May 2014

    ETFs and ETPs listed in the Europe gathered US$6.05 billion in net new assets in May which, when combined with a small positive market performance in the month, pushed assets in the European listed ETF/ETP industry to a new record high of US$459 billion, according to preliminary data from ETFGI’s May 2014 Global ETF and ETP industry insights report.  At the end of May 2014, the European ETF/ETP industry had 2,032 ETFs/ETPs, with 6,169 listings, from 49 providers listed on 25 exchanges.
