Nigerian Stock Exchange Weekly Market Report For Week Ending June 20, 2014

A turnover of 1.528 billion shares worth N20.080 billion in 26,820 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of The Exchange in contrast to a total of 2.732 billion shares valued at N22.165 billion that exchanged hands last week in 26,074 deals.

EuroCCP To Clear London Stock Exchange Trades

EuroCCP, Europe’s largest cash equities central counterparty (CCP), announced that it will be clearing trades executed on London Stock Exchange (LSE) – the first of Europe’s big national exchanges to open its trade feeds to competitive clearing by three interoperating CCPs.

MGEX Daily Electronic Volume Sets Top 20 Record

MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reports a top 20 record in electronic trade volume from Thursday. Total electronic volume came in at 13,380 contracts traded, 18th-best in daily electronic volume history. Total volume finished the day at 15,435 contracts traded.

The Securities and Exchange Commission today charged a Philadelphia-area private equity firm with violating “pay-to-play” rules by continuing to receive advisory fees from the city and state pension funds following campaign contributions made by an associate in 2011 to the governor of Pennsylvania and a candidate for mayor of Philadelphia.

Post Euronext IPO, Intercontinental Exchange To Report Financial Results For Euronext As Discontinued Operations Starting Second Quarter 2014.

On June 19, 2014, Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (“ICE”) announced the pricing of Euronext’s initial public offering. A copy of the press release announcing the pricing and share details is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. In connection with the initial public offering and the amount of shares sold by ICE, ICE intends to report the financial results for Euronext as discontinued operations starting in the second quarter of 2014. ICE expects to only report one business segment starting with the second quarter of 2014.
