DKK Partners FZE, based in the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), a subsidiary of DKK Partners, a leading FinTech company specialising in Emerging Markets (EM) and Foreign Exchange (FX) liquidity, has been granted Initial Approval by the Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) to offer Virtual Asset Broker Dealer Services. DKK Partners FZE will continue to work towards acquiring a full Virtual Asset Service Provider Licence from VARA.

A total of 910 deals (mergers & acquisitions (M&A), private equity and venture financing deals) were announced in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region during January 2024, which was a decline of 23.8% compared to the announcement of 1,194 deals during January 2023, according to GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

CFTC Recognizes Taiwan Futures Exchange As An Exempt DCO

On February 14, 2024, the Taiwan Futures Exchange (TAIFEX) obtained an Exemption From Registration as a Derivatives Clearing Organization (Exempt DCO) from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), marking a significant milestone in strengthening the ties and collaboration between the financial markets of Taiwan and the United States. TAIFEX was previously granted a one-year No-Action Relief for the central clearing of overthe-counter (OTC) derivatives from the CFTC on September 15, 2022. On September 13, 2023, the No-Action Relief was extended, securing the ongoing participation of U.S. participants in our OTC clearing service. The Exempt DCO status provides a lasting right for TAIFEX to clear OTC derivatives for U.S. participants. TAIFEX now stands as the fifth Exempt DCO recognized by the CFTC.

The emails are believed to be malicious “spear phishing” attempts by unknown individuals who are trying to obtain personal information or confidential business information.
