US Treasury, USTR Announce Intention To Negotiate Covered Agreement With The European Union

The U.S. Department of the Treasury and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR) today announced their intention to begin negotiating a covered agreement with the European Union (EU).  Under the FIO Act, the Secretary of the Treasury, through the Federal Insurance Office (FIO), and USTR are authorized to jointly negotiate a covered agreement with one or more foreign governments, authorities, or regulatory entities.

CFTC To Discontinue Collecting And Issuing Reports On Index Investment Data

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission today (CFTC or Commission) announced that it will discontinue the collection and release of the monthly Index Investment Data Report (IID Report) for select commodity index position data. This data collection predates the enhanced reporting regime implemented by the Dodd-Frank Act and the IID Reports are not being utilized when compared to larger Commission reporting initiatives.

ABN AMRO (ticker symbol: ABN) began trading today on the Amsterdam market of Euronext, after its successful Initial Public Offering (IPO). In total € 3.3billion was raised, making it the second largest IPO in Europe this year. With a market capitalisation of € 16.7 billion the listing of ABN AMRO is the largest in Europe since 2011.
