KDPW_CCP’s First Foreign Clearing Member ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V. Live On The Warsaw Stock Exchange

ABN AMRO Clearing Bank N.V., KDPW_CCP’s first foreign participant, has started to clear transactions on GPW’s cash and derivatives market. As a general clearing member of the KDPW_CCP, ABN AMRO will open access to the Polish capital market for investors using the bank’s global post-trade services. Increase in the number of active investors on the Polish capital market will help to improve liquidity on GPW and grow the trading volume.

Tokyo Commodity Exchange And Thailand Futures Exchange Sign Memorandum Of Understanding

Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) and Thailand Futures Exchange (TFEX), announced that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will establish a cooperative relationship between the two exchanges. Both parties agreed to exert efforts to develop areas of cooperation and business opportunities which will mutually benefit both exchanges and lead to enhancement of liquidity, efficiency, integrity of the two marketplaces.

Bursa Malaysia Extends Green Lane Policy To Futures Brokers And General Clearing Participants - Promoting Better Self Regulation And Shorter Time To Market

Effective 16 June 2016, Bursa Malaysia will extend the ‘Green Lane Policy’ to the eligible futures brokers and eligible general clearing participants to commence their activities with only a notification process to Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Berhad and Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Clearing Berhad respectively.

FINRA Sanctions Oppenheimer & Co. $2.9 Million For Unsuitable Sales Of Non-Traditional ETFs And Related Supervisory Failures

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) announced today that it has fined Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. $2.25 million and ordered the firm to pay restitution of more than $716,000 to affected customers for selling leveraged, inverse and inverse-leveraged exchange-traded funds (non-traditional ETFs) to retail customers without reasonable supervision, and for recommending non-traditional ETFs that were not suitable.
