    The annual trading volume at TAIFEX in 2016 stood at a total of 241,678,556 contracts and recorded the second highest in the history. In terms of stock index products, the global market share of TAIFEX increased from 3.63% in 2015 to 4.18% in 2016, with TAIEX Futures (TX) and Mini-TAIEX Futures (MTX) both setting their all-time highs. Moreover, foreign participation in Taiwan futures market has shown an increase from 12.02% in 2015 to 16.13% in 2016, and a significant growth of 22.6% in trading volume.

    The consortium of Self-Regulatory Organizations (collectively, the SROs) responsible for developing and implementing the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT) have selected Thesys Technologies, LLC (Thesys) as the CAT Plan Processor pursuant to a selection process set out in the selection plan approved by the SEC. Pending the execution of a Plan Processor Agreement between Thesys and CAT NMS, LLC (CATLLC), Thesys will be responsible for all aspects of building and maintaining the CAT on an ongoing basis.
