Eurex Unlocks New Hedging Tools

Europe’s largest derivatives exchange has reached another important strategic milestone. Following the launch of futures and options on the popular MSCI EAFE index that represents the developed markets of Europe, Australasia and the Far East, Eurex has become the only exchange that offers futures and options on all major MSCI indexes. And with the introduction of futures on the EURO STOXX 50 Corporate Bond Index, Eurex is the first mover offering an exchange traded market for the corporate bond segment in Europe.

Nadex Halted FTSE 100 And Germany 30 8-Hour Spread Contracts Listed On July 3, 201

On July 3, 2017 Nadex submitted to the Commission an emergency action pursuant to Commission Rule 40.6(a), providing notice that on trade date July 3, 2017, due to the July 4th holiday, Nadex planned to close all of its Germany 30 and FTSE 100 Binary and Spread contracts at 1pm ET on Monday, trade date July 3, 2017, rather than their regular close time of 4pm ET due to the possibility of a thinly traded underlying market.  However, the Germany 30 and FTSE 100 8-Hour Spread contracts were listed at 8:00am ET with a close time of 4pm ET.  The error was discovered less than 20 minutes after the contracts were listed, at which time the markets were halted.  All affected parties have been notified.

OneChicago Announces Trading Volume For June 2017

OneChicago, LLC (OneChicago), a securities finance exchange, today announced its June 2017 volume of 1,774,332, an increase of 32% year-over-year. OneChicago is a CFTC and SEC regulated exchange offering Single Stock Futures (SSF), a Delta One product, on approximately 1,800 equities, including ADRs and ETFs.

MGEX 2017 June Volume Nearly Double That Of Previous June

MGEX,  a  Designated  Contract  Market  (DCM)  and  DerivativesClearing Organization (DCO), reports its highest volume month in the history of the Exchange, coming in at 489,905 contracts traded. This surpasses the previous June by 99 percent and the previous monthly record set in November 2015 by 80 percent.
