    • The average daily turnover for the first seven months of 2017 was $77.4 billion, an increase of 16 per cent when compared with $66.7 billion for the same period last year.
    • The average daily turnover of ETFs for the first seven months of 2017 was $4.6 billion, an increase of 7 per cent when compared with $4.3 billion for the same period last year.
    • Funds raised through IPOs for the first seven months of 2017 was $69.7 billion, an increase of 5 per cent when compared with $66.3 billion for the same period last year.
    • There were 101* newly listed companies for the first seven months of 2017, an increase of 60 per cent when compared with 63* for the same period last year.

  • HKEX: Changes Of Designated Securities For Short Selling

    The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), announces that with effect from 11 August 2017 (Friday), 42 additional securities will be eligible for short selling and 47 existing designated securities will be removed from the list.  The total number of designated securities for short selling will be 934 after the revision.
