At the end of the settlement date of March 15, 2017, short interest in 2,328 Nasdaq Global Market^SM securities totaled 7,352,374,802 shares compared with 7,280,848,100 shares in 2,345 Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of February 28, 2017. The mid-March short interest represents 4.54 days average daily Nasdaq Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.47 days for the prior reporting period.
