UK’s Financial Conduct Authority Secures Confiscation Orders Totalling £1.69 Million Against Convicted Insider Dealers

Today, His Honour Judge Pegden QC sitting at Southwark Crown Court made confiscation orders in the sum of £1,074,236 against Martyn Dodgson and £624,521 against Andrew Hind. The orders must be paid within 3 months or Mr Dodgson will face a further 7 and a half years in prison and Mr Hind will face a further 5 and a half years.

Barclays: FCA And PRA Publish Final Notices Following Investigation Into Jes Staley

On 20 April 2018 Barclays announced that the FCA and PRA had issued confidential draft warning notices to Jes Staley, Group Chief Executive Officer of Barclays, in relation to an attempt by Mr Staley in 2016 to identify the author of an anonymous letter.

UK Financial Conduct Authority And UK Prudential Regulation Authority Jointly Fine Mr James Staley 642,430 And Announce Special Requirements Regarding Whistleblowing Systems And Controls At Barclays

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) have together fined Mr James Staley, Chief Executive of Barclays Group (Barclays), a total of 642,430. Mr Staley failed to act with due skill, care and diligence in the way he acted in response to an anonymous letter received by Barclays in June 2016. Barclays is also now subject to special requirements by which it must report annually to the regulators detailing how it handles whistleblowing, with personal attestations required from those Senior Managers responsible for the relevant systems and controls.

Hong Kong’s Securities And Futures Commission Adopts IOSCO’s Enhanced Standard For Cross-Border Enforcement Cooperation

The Securities and Futures Commission has become one of the first signatories to the Enhanced Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding Concerning Consultation and Cooperation and the Exchange of Information (EMMoU) of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) for cross-border enforcement cooperation.

IPO On Frankfurt Stock Exchange: NFON Listed In Prime Standard Today

NFON AG (ISIN: DE000A0N4N52) was listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange this morning. NFON's initial listing price was €13.00 following an issue price of €12.00.
This takes the number of IPOs in Frankfurt since the beginning of the year to nine.
