SEC Names Sarah ten Siethoff Associate Director In The Division Of Investment Management’s Rulemaking Office

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that Sarah G. ten Siethoff has been named the Associate Director for the Division of Investment Management’s Rulemaking Office.  As Associate Director, Ms. ten Siethoff will develop recommendations for rulemaking and other policy initiatives relating to funds and investment advisers under the federal securities laws.  Ms. ten Siethoff has been a member of the Division of Investment Management in a variety of positions since 2008, serving most recently as Deputy Associate Director in the Rulemaking Office.

A total turnover of 1.749 billion shares worth N31.183 billion in 24,604 deals were traded this week by investors on the floor of the Exchange in contrast to a total of 2.699 billion shares valued at N84.775 billion that exchanged hands last week in 19,715 deals.

Borsa İstanbul Management has decided to revise the Article 7.7 of the BIST Stock Indices Ground Rules in order to exclude a constituent, which has moved out of “Industrials” upper sector group, from the BIST SME Industrial Index.

2. Second: Does it respect the integrity of the Single Market and the Customs Union?
3. Third: Is this an all-weather backstop?

Officers from the AGC, CAD and MAS met the Malaysian 1MDB Taskforce led by Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail in Singapore yesterday. The meeting was held at the invitation of the Singapore authorities, and followed an earlier meeting with the Taskforce last week in Kuala Lumpur.

The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (CBIRC) and the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding the cooperation and exchange of information in connection with the supervision and oversight of regulated entities of the CBIRC or the SFC that operate on a cross-boundary basis in Hong Kong and Mainland (Cross-Boundary Regulated Entities).
