ASIC's 2017-20 Data Strategy Launched

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission has today launched its data strategy for 2017-20. The strategy, which outlines how ASIC will capture, share and use data, will transition ASIC into a more data-driven and intelligence-led organisation.

CFTC Commissioner Quintenz Named Sponsor Of The Technology Advisory Committee

The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) today announced that Commissioner Brian Quintenz will sponsor the CFTC’s Technology Advisory Committee (TAC). The TAC advises the CFTC on technological innovations in the markets and the appropriate regulatory response to those advances. The CFTC also designated Daniel Gorfine, CFTC’s Director of LabCFTC and Chief Innovation Officer, as the Designated Federal Officer for the TAC.

$1.41 Trillion In Collateral Posted For Cleared And Non-cleared Derivatives, ISDA Margin SurveyFinds

(ISDA) has published a new survey on margin payments in the over-the-counter derivatives market, which shows that approximately $1.41 trillion of collateral was posted for cleared and non-cleared trades by the end of the first quarter of 2017.
