The New Year’s Day Holiday of 2018 is approaching. According to the notice on holiday schedule and market close, the Exchange’s futures markets will be closed on holidays from December 30, 2017 through January 1, 2018.

Court Orders Re-Trial After Allowing Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission’s Appeal In Illegal Short Selling Case

The Court of First Instance has allowed the Securities and Futures Commission’s (SFC) appeal against the acquittal of Mr Wong Hung of illegal short selling and ordered that the case be remitted back to the Magistrates’ Court for a re-trial.

Shanghai Futures Exchange: Notice On Schedule For Continuous Trading Hours During New Year’s Day Holiday Of 2018

According to the rules on continuous trading, the Exchange further clarifies the detailed schedule for continuous trading hours during the New Year’s Day Holiday as follows:

There is no continuous trading on the night of December 29, 2017.

On January 2, 2018, the bidding session time for all futures is 8:55 a.m.—9:00 a.m.  The continuous trading will resume on the night of January 2, 2018.
