Securities Commission Malaysia Welcomes Malaysia’s Improved Ranking In Corporate Governance Report

The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) today welcomed the findings of the Corporate Governance Watch 2018 report, where Malaysia emerged as the biggest gainer moving from seventh place in 2016 to fourth this year, after Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. The report is the result of a biennial survey by the Asian Corporate Governance Association (ACGA) and CLSA of 12 Asian countries including Australia.

Over the past few months, RSRCHXchange has witnessed a growing demand for a research marketplace from banks, brokers and independent research providers. Ethylene Glycol Futures Listed On Dalian Commodity Exchange On December 10

The Ethylene Glycol (EG) futures is officially listed on Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE) on December 10. Luo Hongsheng, Director of the Department of Futures Supervision of the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC), delivered a speech on behalf of the CSRC Vice Chairman Fang Xinghai; Jin Guowei, Deputy Mayor of Dalian, Fu Xiangsheng, Vice President of the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation (CPCIF), and DCE Chairman Li Zhengqiang made a speech successively.

SEC: Executives Settle ICO Scam Charges

Two former executives behind an allegedly fraudulent initial coin offering (ICO) that was stopped by the Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year have been ordered in federal court to pay nearly $2.7 million and prohibited from serving as officers or directors of public companies or participating in future offerings of digital securities.

Statement Of CFTC Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo On The Passing Of Robert Cox

Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Chairman J. Christopher Giancarlo issued the following statement on the passing of Robert T. Cox, vice president in the financial markets group at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago:
"We are deeply saddened at the loss of Bob Cox, a tremendous figure in the derivatives community," said Giancarlo. "Throughout his career, Bob found meaningful ways to contribute to the CFTC's mission to oversee American derivatives clearinghouses - from serving on advisory committees to participating in agency discussions and consultations. His absence will be deeply felt here at the agency, as it will no doubt be throughout the financial markets."

SEC: Three Developers Settle Charges of Fraudulent EB-5 Offering

The Securities and Exchange Commission today announced that three Houston-area developers have agreed to settle charges that they misused investor funds raised from 90 Chinese investors under the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program on unrelated projects.
